MECHANISM OF ACTION:

POST-INJECTION EFFECTS:

MIXING AND STORAGE:

• Cosmetic professionals debate on the optimal dilution ratio of Botox; however, many experts prefer diluting 100 units in 2.5 ml of solution, resulting in 4 units/0.1 ml.
• When mixing, gently agitate the Botox vial to avoid creating bubbles, which can compromise the medication’s efficacy.
• Avoid vigorous shaking or tapping the medication vial or syringe to prevent the formation of air bubbles.
• Once diluted, the potency of the medication decreases gradually over time. Therefore, it is recommended to use it within 48 hours.
• Some suggest that it can be used within 4 weeks if stored in the refrigerator, but once removed from the refrigerator and used, it should not be returned, as this can degrade the structure and efficacy of the medication.
