Features of Botox Black
- Storage Requirements: This product must be stored at a temperature between 2°C to 8°C.

- Duration of Effects: The effects typically last 4-6 months. The duration may vary depending on the individual patient.
- Usage Guidelines: It is recommended to use the entire vial within 24 hours. However, the product can be stored in refrigeration for 7 to 10 days.
- Onset of Effects: Visible results typically appear between 5 to 7 days after application.
- Reconstitution: Botox Black is reconstituted with 1 ml of 0.9% saline solution (refrigerated to avoid thermal shock) to obtain a concentration of 10 IU per 0.1 ml.
- Recommended Dose: 2-4 IU. The effective dose is determined based on the patient’s muscle size, position, and usage, as observed by the practitioner.
Reactions and Contraindications
- Known Hypersensitivity: Allergies to albumin, egg proteins, or any other component in the formula.
- Neuromuscular Diseases: Conditions such as myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and Lambert-Eaton syndrome.
- Infection: Any infection at the injection site.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Botox Black should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Drug Interactions
- Aminoglycosides, Magnesium Sulfate, Quinine: These can increase the effects of botulinum toxin.
- Anticholinergic Drugs: Botox may enhance the effects of these medications.
- Polymyxin, Tetracycline, and Lincomycin: Should be used cautiously with Botox Black.
- Muscle Relaxants: These may increase muscle weakness when used with Botox.
